The Panther Marching Band presents
"The Journey of Man"
The 2010 Panther Marching Band proudly presents their competition show Cirque Du Soliel's "The Journey of Man". This show tells the story of mankind's journey through life. The opener entitled "The Beginning" is a representation of Birth and all the endless possibilities that the future holds for a newborn child. The music travels through the countless emotions of apprehension, love, joy and excitement that a life just beginning inspires in all of us. The second movement "Childhood" displays the carefree nature of children at play and discovery. The whole world is new and open to explore. This movement allows the members to develop a character and really tell the story of being a child. The show ends with "Youth Flying Away". This music and motion depicts the fear and excitement of the young adult "leaving the nest" and flying away to begin their life on their own. The drill and music goes through the wide range of emotion that the soon to be independent child travels through; the fear, the excitement and the separation into life. The 2010 show is in many ways a musical peak into the members past and future. ![]() |
